What is the quality of the Lincoln sculpture?
We are a reputable art gallery and, as such, we only carry high-quality art. Many bronze sculptures on the market today are mass-manufactured using very low-quality standards. The bronze is paper thin leaving them susceptible to damage. Often the patina finish is not patina at all, but industrial paint made to look like patina.

We partner with a premier, North Carolina fine arts bronze foundry serving clients throughout the world. Our foundry partner specializes in fine art bronze casting and fabrication, using both traditional techniques and in-house, state-of-the-art digital tools. Our bronze contains a 90.23 percent copper content as is the US standard and is almost an inch thick and with a true hand-fired patina.

Do I get a certificate of authenticity?
NCGFA provides a signed and sealed certificate of authenticity with each order.

Can I call to ask questions about the Art?
Yes, please feel free to call with any questions. While we operate by appointment only, we welcome your calls at any time and your call will be answered by one of the owners of the company. We take great pride in our art.

Is the face of Lincoln a limited edition?
The “Face of Lincoln” is a signed, copyrighted, and numbered limited edition bronze sculpture of 1,865, and the mold for it will be destroyed at the end of the production run. It is a very high-quality bronze sculpture that will last for hundreds of years even if placed outdoors. The artistry and craftsmanship will amaze you every time you look at it. You should plan for it to be passed down in families from generation to generation and treasured by those who receive it.

How long will it take to receive my sculpture?
Once we receive the deposit payment, we take up to five working days to notify the buyer and to begin notifications regarding the status of the work of art as it is being created.

The time usually required for the custom creation of a work of art is 90 – 120 days. We make exceptions during periods of extreme demand upon the foundry. If such an event occurs, the NCGFA will keep the buyer apprised of the current status and projected completion date.

Upon completion of the work along with the final payment, and within 7 days, we will make final arrangements with the buyer for the delivery of the artwork. The customer may also choose to collect the work of art from NCGFA.

How will my sculpture be packaged and shipped?
We will hand deliver the bronze if possible on the East Coast but, if not possible, the sculptures will be sent by UPS or FedEX. We use state-of-the-art packaging which includes completely wrapping the sculpture in bubble wrap and filler that completely envelops the sculpture so that it will not shift in transit.

When the sculpture arrives at a trucking terminal in your area, the shipping company will call you to schedule a mutually convenient delivery time.

What happens if my sculpture is damaged in shipment?
We take great care to package our art for a safe journey and we rarely encounter any problems. But when you are shipping heavy and bulky packages over long distances things can happen. PLEASE inspect your package upon arrival.

Do you do custom sculptures?
If you’re interested in discussing a custom project, please feel free to call or send us an email and we can give you an estimate for your project.

Are your sculptures painted?
No. Bronze coloration is called a patina and is achieved through a process called “patination”. During this process, the bronze is reheated and chemicals are applied to the hot bronze. This causes a chemical reaction and actually changes the surface color of the bronze.

What types of payment do you accept?
We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express or PayPal, money orders, cashier’s checks, and even personal or business checks. For governmental institutions, we will also accept a purchase order. Please understand that for personal or business checks, we have to wait for the check to clear before shipping.

Is my deposit refundable?
Since this is a custom-ordered and specially created work of art, your deposit is not refundable.

What other expenses will I incur in addition to the cost of the art?
The price of the Work of Art listed does not include duties, taxes, shipping and handling, which will be charged as applicable.

What are your hours?
We are available for appointments most of the year. The Internet is an important part of our business so we try to be available for you as much as possible. You may call 7 days a week 365 days a year, and leave a voice mail. We will return your call as soon as possible.

How do I find the appropriate pedestal for my sculpture?
Two of the most popular heights of pedestals are 42 or 48 inches. We can advise you and assist in finding the right pedestal for your location.

What updates can I expect regarding the status of my bronze in the process?
Once we receive the deposit payment, we will contact the buyer and begin notifications as to the status of the work of art as it is being created. The NCGFA will keep the buyer apprised of its current status and projected completion date.

How do I clean my bronze?
A bronze sculpture will last for hundreds of years and will need little maintenance. Never use harsh commercial cleaners or polishers. Only a light dusting every couple of months should be required. To clean any dirty film that may accrue, simply use plain unscented soap and water.
